Here’s some answers to some questions that we’ve received about writing for us:
Do I get any compensation for writing for you?
All the staff, including the creators, operate on a volunteer basis. We don’t collect any revenue from the site, so unfortunately we’re unable to provide monetary compensation to those who wish to volunteer their time. That being said, we’ve been known to send out surprise merchandise to active contributors, as well as being able to take part in our yearly Secret Santa.
I have a job outside of this. How much time do you need me to commit?
It’s all up to you. Since you’re working on a volunteer basis, we respect your time and don’t have a minimum requirement. That being said, we’d like you to post one article/update a week if possible, but we understand during off seasons of TV shows that there might be long stretches of time without an update. That’s totally okay.
Are there any perks to joining your site?
As mentioned above, we’ve been known to send out surprise merchandise to active contributors. Participation in our yearly Secret Santa is another bonus. You’ll also gain a few new social media followers on your channels (just as long as you follow back.) 😉 You can also officially say that you’re writing for an established website, which looks great on any resume or portfolio.
Are there any publishing requirements?
We don’t have a minimum word count or anything like that, but we do have a professional editor review your article draft before submission to ensure quality content: eliminating typos, reducing excessive comma use, fixing gerund misuse, and things of that nature.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, then why don’t you click here and send in a fill out a recruitment form? We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
As always, thanks for reading and May the Force be with You!
