With the conclusion of “The Bad Batch” fresh on everyone’s minds, the “Star Wars” universe is starting to look a bit stale. The animated cartoon seemed to take a page out of “The Mandalorian” and featured a group of hardened warriors assuming a father-figure role to a young Force-sensitive child who didn’t really have a grasp over their powers or what they were capable of.
“Star Wars: Visions” is a completely different take on the classic “Star Wars” franchise, and looks to deliver the galaxy far, far away in a totally new way.
The upcoming Lucasfilm anthology series will tell several different “Star Wars” stories through traditional Japanese style, and be available in both Japanese and English-dubbed variations. Consisting of nine animated shorts that debut on Disney+ on September 22, the voiceover cast features some serious star power, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Neil Patrick Harris, Lucy Liu, and the legendary George Takei.
